Eric Choong

Eric Choong
Malaysia's fashion designer Eric Choong, 48, is synonymous with the fashion industry when it comes to high fashion and quality; he has been around for about 26 years ever since he graduated from the Hong Kong Institute of Fashion Design in 1986.
Growing up in Ipoh, Perak, Eric's love for fashion began when he got his hands on his mother's fashion magazines from Hong Kong and Japan. By the age of 7, he had already produced his own sketches and 13, he was sought by his school teachers to design clothing for their tailors to make! Eric started his Eric Choong label when he was just 22 years old, creating made-to-measure bridalwear, cocktail and corporate designs since then.
Eric's personal and professional journey is documented in his autobiography 'In Full Bloom', which was published and launched in 2009. Conceptualised and authored by Eric himself, the book took two years to complete.
