With Hari Raya coming round the corner, Parkson decided to get a head start on the festivities by hosting its very own Raya Open House. A private party was held at Parkson KLCC and those who attended included media friends, Parkson Elite Cardmembers and Citibank Cardmembers. One by one, guests formed a queue and waited until the party started at 7pm.

As music from the Gamelan ensemble filled the air, guests mingled and browsed the store, checking out Parkson Raya hampers and enjoyed various activities that were going on. There were plenty of complimentary activities to keep the guests occupied: a henna art booth, a caricature booth, cooking demonstrations by Queensense and Le Creuset. In addition to that, Nescafe Dolce Gusto by Krups and The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf were giving out free drinks to invited guests.

Malaysian Idol runner up, Dina Nadzir initiated the highly anticipated fashion show by leading the models down the escalator. As the models made their way on the runway, Dina Nadzir entertained guests with her musical numbers. The models showcased beautifully beaded caftans and traditional Malay clothing by local designers like Tom Abang Saufi, Variante, Luire by Raden Sirait (exclusive to Parkson), Bac Medacena and many more.

Towards the end of the evening, some very fashionable guests were thrilled to discover they were Best Dressed winners while some lucky ones walked away with amazing prizes from the Lucky Draw sessions. One of the highlights of the night was a free garment steamer which was awarded to customers who spent RM 500 and above using Parkson Elite Card and Citibank Card.

Alas, all good things come to an end and when it was time to say goodbye, everyone left with a smile, a happy tummy, some amazing prizes and some good old shopping.
